Instant Lift

Suggestions for how to give yourself an instant lift:

1) Go for a walk. It does not have to be a marathon, just a 15 minute walk if that is all you have time for. As long as it isn’t too cold outside, I find this does wonders for my soul.

2) Read a book that you love. Whether it is Twilight or Les Miserables, something that has brought you joy in the past, re-read it and re-discover why you loved it.

3) Go for a bike ride. Enjoy the beauty of nature while you pedal along.

4) Sing a song. I reccomend a cheesy or religious song. I find that singing hip/hop songs are not as effective for lifting my mood as singing songs from musicals, such as “surrey with a fringe on top.” That, however, is my humble opinion.

5) Dance to a song that you love. I highly reccomend this one from Disney’s Enchanted:
