Good Night…

A bit of silliness. On Thursday night, I was finishing up a slightly scary book. It wasn’t that scary, but it was late at night–there were witches, warlocks, vampires and demons. I was 20 pages away from the end of the book. It was almost midnight. The rest of the house was dark. I was about to find out the witch is actually a demon, when my sister peeks her head into my room and whispers, “good night.” My reaction was very subtle. I jumped out of my skin, uttered, “oh my,” and then we proceeded to laugh for the next five minutes. Oh the silliness of me.

P.S. This is a picture of my sister and me taken last September.

  1. I was once reading a really scary mystery in a very dark house because it was late. Our dryer belt had developed a high-pitched squeal because the belt was wearing out. Right in the middle of a particularly scary part, the dryer started squealing. I just about died of fright. So I totally know the feeling!

    • That is funny. I’m glad we both let our imaginations get the better of us sometimes.

  2. You are loved!
