After 17 years of living in Texas, my husband David finally has his first pair of genuine cowboy boots. Hooray! It took a move to Utah and then California, not to mention a marriage to me to let him know that he really needed a pair of boots. Yesterday we went shopping for the perfect pair of boots at the one and only place to get cowboy boots, Cavender’s. We found a number of pairs, some burgundy, some black with white thread, some all black and some neon green. There were many options and David had his work cut out for him. Luckily, after a mere three hours, David managed to find two really great pairs of boots. After another two hours, he decided on the perfect pair. I’m not sure whether I take after him or he takes after me in the decision process. The good news is that he is now the proud owner of a pair of real cowboy boots, most fitting for a proper Texan.
